Shop
My shop is a feast for the eyes – I found some great “props” which I can use for shopfittings, albeit a bit unconventional – an old ladder works a treat to hang things from , drape things over and the rungs serve as shelves. Old glass bricks, roof tiles, a trolley and a mincer all add charm to the display.
It has been a fantastic experience getting the shop ready for opening and since then I have had a great response from customers. The room is full of light from 2 huge windows and skylights which make the space a joy to be in. At the moment I am like a child in a sweetshop, I love having other artists’ work to look at and arrange and I feel as though I am starting all over again – working in such a beautiful space is very inspiring.
As well as my own work there are ceramics from at least 6 other potters, handmade metal clocks, textiles, paintings, prints and photographs.
